If in Detroit you have to plan a stay at the incredible new The Siren Hotel in the revamped Wurlitzer building. The Wurlitzer building was built in 1926 + the company operated out of the location until the 1970’s. Since 1982 the building sat empty falling into disrepair until the amazing folks at AshNYC saw it for the diamond in the rough that it is.
2018 has come + gone, it was a full of lots of challenges + exciting moments. It was the year I tried to figure out the work life balance, still not there just yet, projects with clients becoming friends, + the joy of watching my designs go from paper to reality.
Wow I cant believe its already the first day of winter, how this year has flown by. This year I am feeling the darkness more in the days + cant wait for the light to return. The winter solstice brings hope.
Its fall yet again, even though it happens year after year, the arrival of autumn is always a little surprising. Its almost like switch, one day late in the summer you feel it, the subtle crispness to the air + before you know it its FALL.

A 1960’s ranch house that was in much need of an update + was the perfect project to tackle. The outdated kitchen was at the top of the list with a walled in design that cut off the rest off the house.
