Early this month I had the pleasure of taking a staycation in my city, Denver. Hotel Born, where do I even start….since its opening in 2017 I have been obsessed with this building. Local architecture firm Semple Brown did such an amazing job with the exterior + interior of this place.
If in Detroit you have to plan a stay at the incredible new The Siren Hotel in the revamped Wurlitzer building. The Wurlitzer building was built in 1926 + the company operated out of the location until the 1970’s. Since 1982 the building sat empty falling into disrepair until the amazing folks at AshNYC saw it for the diamond in the rough that it is.
Situated right on the main highway through Salida, Colorado, Amigo Motor Lodge is an oasis of style + comfort that is not to be missed. When you arrive an amazingly well designed yet laid-back lobby immediately allows you to kick back + relax from the long car ride that brought you in.
Through all my years of travel from state to state to country to country I have managed to have the same travel essentials that always make it in my bag first
Discover the streets of Paris! As I strolled through the city, I saw the old buildings, and the cobblestones that created the pathways between them and couldn't help but wonder why city's today are not like they used to be.
Simple classic Parisian Cafe. The patio seating on the sidewalks is always full even in the winter, wicker chairs in amazing colors, and they serve a cup of coffee or glass of champagne that will give you real estate to sit, relax and people watch all afternoon.
